Scrooged.
I love this movie. I am going to list my all-time favorite Christmas movies. Now.
10) Bad Santa
9) The Santa Clause (which accounts for why I couldn't spell Santa Claus for most of my childhood)
8) Rudolph (the claymation movie)
7) Elf
6) A Christmas Story
5) Santa Claus is Coming to Town (claymation. "You put one foot in front of the other")
4) The Grinch (the animated one)
3) Scrooged
2) Nightmare Before Christmas
1) It's a Wonderful Life
It's eclectic. It's also wonderful. I love Christmas movies that don't suck. LOVE THEM!
Merry Christmas!

Dynamite.
OK, so I started off hating this song. The singer's name is Taio, and he spells rockstar with an extra R. I learned to hate the song more. Then the song became the anthem of student development at my school. I learned to hate the song more. Then the song became the anthem for the year. I learned to hate the song more. I now hear the song daily and hate the song all the more because of it. Why must I hear it?!?! WHY?
On a brighter note, I'm having a really lovely Christmas eve. I have two beautiful thermoses now. I love thermoses. Grandma knew I drank a lot of tea and could use a thermos to carry it in. You are so right, Grandma! Thanks!
Merry Christmas, Bloggy Buddies (buddy. It might just be Meleah that reads this).

My dog is scared of vacuum cleaners, and I am scared of Christmas.
Vacuum cleaners make a lot of noise and vibrations on the floor. My dog doesn't like that. But you still need to vacuum.
Christmas shoppers make a lot of noise and vibrations at the store. I don't like that. But I still need to Christmas shop. And grocery shop. And jean shop. And eat.
Counting down the days 'til New Years. It's ten.

Well what do you know...C.S. Lewis was sexist.
"Battles are ugly when women fight."
-The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe
It's amazing the context you miss at 8 years old. I cannot wait to see what else this story has to offer!
UPDATE: I'll be finishing this book on disc tonight. I listen much more efficiently than I read. If my mind wanders while listening, nothing happens. When I read and wander, the book falls out of my hands and I daydream. Cheers to audio books!

Welcome to Narnia!
Little known fact: I love children's books. Alright. If you have ever met me, you probably know it. As I sit, I am wearing a "I love Harry Potter" shirt. I really don't think that's a problem, either. It is tastefully blended into a very adult outfit with a pink corduroy quilted jacket and big girl jeans. So there. Keep your judgey-judgedness to yourself!
I had an appointment at 6:45 with Hollywood Palms (go there!) and The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. Hello, Ben Barnes in 3D! Why the hell didn't this happen sooner? We actually arrived in the theatre about twenty minutes late. Whoops! Damn fog! The first thing I really focused on with the glasses was a really awesome 3D face-full of Reepicheep the mouse. Yum. Speaking of those God forsaken glasses, how do I always forget how uncomfortable it is to layer 3D specs over my own? Really, me, it's a feeling you do not enjoy. Avoid 3D. But meeeee! Ben Barnes! And those other guys! Okay, me, we'll put up with it. Back to talking about the movie. Umm, it was great. That's really all I can say. I remember very little of the books and cannot compare the two.
You see, I read the books and reread the books several times by the conclusion of elementary school. I did not touch them again until I attempted to read all of them before Prince Caspian hit theatres. I read Magician's Nephew. That's the first one, by the way. Then I shelved the series once more. I found the entire series on disc by some British radio program and snapped it up at the high price of five dollars. On the way back to school that break, I attempted to listen to several books. I heard Magicians Nephew. Then I started dozing off into the Narnia in my mind. That's when I shelved the discs indefinitely. I find myself attempting to listen to the series once more. I'm currently ripping the discs to iTunes. Then I will update my iPod to host the books. Now I can try to listen no matter where I go.
I'm starting with The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe this time.

Bird in Hand - GEICO Commercial
Nothing beats a good Antique Roadshow/Cliche joke.
This is why Geico does so well. Fo real.

Winter brings out the best in people?
OK, it doesn't. And I'm not about to lie and tell you it does...again. I am seriously regretting not taking a picture of this woman I saw on my way to work. She was cranky. That's the first thing I noticed. Then I noticed her intensely furry boots. Next I noticed her black leggings in the frigid outdoors of the great midwest. Finally, I noticed her pretentious black North Face jacket, sleek ponytail with a pink headband strapped around her head and her giant black sunglasses. Oh, and she had a Starbucks cup in her hand. For the first time in my life I felt like telling a woman to, "go back to Aspen!" in my best Napoleon Dynamite voice. What a disgruntled, displaced ski bunny!

Need a light to hold the place in your book?
If you're one of those people that likes to put books on heat sources, specifically luminaries, this is the lamp for you!

Don't ask me why, but my mom doesn't think this worth 30 bucks.
First you should know I'm not a robot
I tried a blog two years ago. I failed. I had fans, but things didn't work out. Then I tried a Vlog. Okay, that really didn't work. Then I had a school blog. Now I'm a blog celeb on campus. Now I want to revisit the blog thing fuh real. Let's do it!
You know when you sign up for things online and they ask you to decipher the squigly words and retype them? Well, I seem to have an unnecessarily difficult time playing the game. I cannot figure out what the letters are! The worst is when they use misspelled real words. For starters, I can't spell. When I see it, I think it looks like a word I know but can't remember how it's spelled. Then I Google it. Then I copy/paste it into the box. Alas, it is spelled "wrong" for being spelled correctly. Thanks, squigly word creators! Well, Blogspot, I just want you to know that after four times trying to create an account, I succeeded! I am not a robot! Take that!
That is all for now. So long, dear readers.
